Your practical year with us
We are delighted that you are interested in completing your Practical Year (Praktisches Jahr, PJ) at our hospital. What makes us special is practice-oriented training with a high level of integration into the departments, complemented by intensive theoretical and practical support in courses and seminars.

General information
- Accommodation: none
- Allowance, including meal subsidy: €480 per month
- Work clothing: provided
- Staff rooms: available
- Scientific library: holdings in surgery, internal medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics, anaesthesia, radiology, hygiene and pathology. Several freely available internet terminals. Opening hours for practical year (PJ) students during normal working hours and by arrangement.
- Additional duties: at least 6 night shifts per four-month rotation (Tertial). Additional voluntary opportunities to take part in on-call duty in surgery. Time off in lieu for night shifts and on-call duty.
