After the birth, you will spend some more time in the delivery suite. There you have time and space to get to know each other largely undisturbed. This “bonding” creates an intense bond between the newborn and its parents, which helps you enjoy the early days.
We continue this on the maternity ward. You can be together with your baby around the clock and are involved in its care from the very beginning. We try to organise the routine procedures on the maternity ward so that this special getting-to-know-each-other phase and your personal rhythm with your baby can be as undisturbed as possible.

Bonding
Bonding is direct skin-to-skin contact between parents and child. It gives your baby a great sense of security and safety. You get to know each other with all your senses, thereby promoting the social bond. We recommend that you enjoy and make use of skin-to-skin contact in the first days and beyond. It is an important foundation for your baby’s development and a helpful way to ensure a relaxed breastfeeding period.
