The Department of Surgery (Chief Physician Prof. Dr. med. Bernhard Rumstadt) and the Department of Internal Medicine (Chief Physician PD Dr. med. Ingo Steinbrück) of the Evangelisches Diakoniekrankenhaus form the interdisciplinary Visceral Medicine Centre. In the treatment of bowel diseases, it is ideally complemented and enhanced by the affiliated proctology department (Dr. B. Strittmatter, Dr. A. Furtwängler).
