Everyone is warmly welcome at carpe diak: whether patients, visitors, neighbours or simply people who fancy a good coffee. The café is a meeting place in Freiburg-Landwasser to linger and enjoy.
The range extends from coffee specialities and snacks to small dishes, ice cream and cakes, with a focus on organic quality and regional produce.
In the mornings, the café offers a breakfast selection with baked goods and small hot and cold snacks; at lunchtime there are specialities such as burgers and bowls from our hospital kitchen; and in the afternoon a piece of cake or fresh waffles are a must.
For our patients, a small selection of sweets, magazines and everyday essentials is also available.
The café staff are part of the Diakoniekrankenhaus team and work with a commitment to quality, innovation and appreciation to give all guests a pleasant experience.

For us, eating and drinking are an essential part of hospital life. That is why we are glad and proud not to have “outsourced” our kitchen. Instead, the kitchen team is a permanent and important part of our hospital.
