More than 100 years ago, the Evangelisches Diakonissenkrankenhaus was founded in Freiburg to provide help and support to the people of our region. Even though much has changed since it was founded, we have remained true to our principle of being “close to people”.
We work for the people of Freiburg and the surrounding area in three institutions:
- Evangelisches Diakoniekrankenhaus: a modern and innovative yet very personal hospital
- Pflegezentrum Landwasser: a protective gerontopsychiatric care facility
- Haus Landwasser: a rehabilitation facility for young people with mental illness
In order to offer personal care in these institutions that goes beyond the usual standard despite the cost pressures in the healthcare system, the “Förderstiftung Evangelisches Diakoniekrankenhaus” (support foundation) was established.
