KeKs and Early Help (Frühe Hilfen)

What are Early Support services (Frühe Hilfen)?

In this short film you will find all the important information about the Early Support services.

Facilitating communication, strengthening cooperation

“KeKs” (Kommunikation erleichtern, Kooperation stärken – facilitating communication, strengthening cooperation) is the joint project of the City of Freiburg and the districts of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald.
Its focus is the cooperation between maternity hospitals and the Early Support networks in the Freiburg region.
To accompany young parents and families as they start their family life, KeKs offers Early Support services directly in the six cooperating maternity hospitals.

The cooperating hospitals are:
  • Evangelisches Diakoniekrankenhaus Freiburg
  • Kreiskrankenhaus Emmendingen
  • HELIOS-Klinik Titisee Neustadt
  • St. Josefskrankenhaus Freiburg
  • Universitätsfrauenklinik Freiburg
How does it work?

In the hospital, parents are informed by hospital staff about the support offered by the Early Support services. If you wish, you can then contact the Early Support specialist service via an online form. A specialist will then get in touch with you promptly by telephone or e-mail to provide further advice.
