Surgical treatment

Surgery remains an essential component in the treatment of colorectal cancer.

The process begins with thorough diagnostics followed by an interdisciplinary discussion of the findings. If surgery is considered appropriate, we will discuss the planned operation with you calmly and in detail beforehand.

When performing the operation, we attach great importance to combining radical tumour removal with the greatest possible preservation of your quality of life. The majority of operations at our Colorectal Centre are performed using minimally invasive techniques. Thanks to the large number of colorectal cancer operations we perform, we have extensive expertise that enables us to carry out even complex operations with a low rate of complications.

Gentle anaesthetic procedures, dedicated pain management and specialised, competent care on our intensive care unit are important to us. Equally important to us are continuous professional development and the use of modern surgical procedures and techniques.

In addition to focusing on the patient, caring for relatives is also an important concern for us. We therefore call them immediately after the operation and are happy to be available for joint discussions.
