Gardener specialising in garden and landscape construction (m/f/d)

We are looking for you!

As soon as possible, a motivated, independent gardener specialising in garden and landscape construction (m/f/d), full-time. With us you will find a modern leadership culture that is “close to people” and oriented towards your needs.

As a gardener (m/f/d), you will play a key role in shaping the external appearance of our hospital. Through the professional care and design of our green spaces and outdoor areas, you create a well-kept, inviting environment and ensure a positive first impression. Your work is our visible flagship to the outside world – and helps patients, visitors and staff feel welcome here. For this, you will be provided with modern machinery and tools and will have complete creative freedom to design wonderful outdoor grounds.

Team spirit, friendliness and personal responsibility make work enjoyable in our Technical Services team. We are interested in your professional and personal development, because it is not only patients who should feel at ease with us – our hospital is a “GREAT-PLACE-TO-WORK”.

What else sets us apart:

  • A collegial and trusting working environment with a comprehensive induction period
  • An excellent working atmosphere at one of Germany’s best-rated employers – once again in 2026 – as a “GREAT-PLACE-TO-WORK”
  • Attractive collectively agreed terms with special payments and allowances under the TVöD-Bund (collective agreement for the public sector), as well as additional days off for special occasions (birth)
  • Subsidised occupational pension scheme (Pensionskasse)
  • Individual staff development with targeted internal and external training to strengthen and broaden your expertise
  • A subsidised staff canteen with regional (organic) products
  • Workplace health management (participation in the Hansefit network programme, in-house company bicycle scheme, etc.)
  • Discounted Deutschlandticket for public transport
  • Childcare during school holidays

The following exciting tasks await you:

  • Care and maintenance of the green spaces and outdoor areas
  • Professional pruning and care of shrubs, hedges and green roofs
  • Care of trees in cooperation with the service provider
  • Lawn care and care of planted areas and flower beds
  • Planting work and seasonal design of the outdoor areas
  • Weed and pest control within the framework of legal requirements
  • Care and maintenance of paths, open spaces, gutters and other outdoor surfaces
  • Carrying out minor repair and maintenance work
  • Operation and care of gardening machinery and equipment
  • Support with winter road maintenance and with ensuring safety on site
  • Collaboration within the Technical Services team and with other areas of the hospital
  • General manual tasks – you lend a hand wherever help is needed

What distinguishes you:

  • Completed vocational training as a gardener (m/f/d), ideally specialising in garden and landscape construction, or a comparable qualification
  • Practical experience in the maintenance of green spaces and outdoor areas
  • Good knowledge of handling gardening machinery and equipment
  • Manual skill and technical understanding
  • An independent, reliable and careful way of working, with the motivation to take on tasks proactively
  • Physical resilience and enjoyment of working outdoors
  • A sense of responsibility and a strong awareness of quality
  • Class B driving licence desirable
  • A friendly and professional manner towards patients and hospital staff
  • High social competence and team spirit, in order to support the shared vision of the Technical Services team
