We must take into account the statutory admission requirements:
- Medical fitness.
- Good knowledge of the German language (If German is not your native language, you will need language skills corresponding to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.)
- An intermediate school-leaving certificate (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) or another qualification recognised as equivalent, or the successful completion of another ten years of general schooling.
- If you hold a lower secondary school-leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss), you will additionally need proof of
- successfully completed vocational training lasting at least two years, or
- successfully completed assistant or auxiliary training in nursing regulated under state law, lasting at least one year, or
- a licence as a nursing assistant.

For the bachelor's degree programme APPLIED NURSING SCIENCE (Angewandte Pflegewissenschaft), you will also need confirmation of a study place from the Katholische Hochschule Freiburg.
