For a natural birth
For many years, the Evangelisches Diakoniekrankenhaus has supported the project "Midwives at primary schools in Freiburg and the surrounding area" (Hebammen an Grundschulen in Freiburg und Umgebung).
During 90-minute visits to Year 4 classes, we midwives from the Diakoniekrankenhaus Freiburg talk about our work while also conveying wide-ranging knowledge about the natural processes of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
This leads to many lovely, often funny and eventful visits to the school classes. We are always happy to come and are often surprised by the many questions the children have for us and by their great curiosity about this subject.
The costs are largely covered by the Evang. Diakoniekrankenhaus, so the school’s own contribution is 50 € .
If you are interested in a visit to your school or class, we welcome enquiries by e-mail. As we can only offer a certain number of visits each year and the allocation of visits begins anew each calendar year, requests are considered in the order in which the e-mails are received.
