Birth preparation courses with partner

In this course, we prepare you as a couple for the birth and for becoming parents.
It comprises two evenings for the pregnant women and five evenings with their partner.
There will be plenty of time to get to know the methods that will support you during your birth.
These include relaxation and breathing techniques, birthing positions and elements of hypnobirthing that enable you to shape your birth with a sense of self-efficacy.
You will also learn about the physiological processes of birth.
The topics of breastfeeding and the first period after the birth round off the course.

Please choose a course that ends three to four weeks or earlier before your estimated due date.

Costs:

The fee for the pregnant woman is usually covered by your health insurance fund.

Partner fee of 120 €, which is binding!

Many health insurance funds now also cover the partner fee in part or in full. Please ask your insurance fund.
Please pay the partner fee in cash on the first evening.

Shortly before the course starts, the course leader will contact you by e-mail and give you any missing information about the course.

You are, however, welcome to send us an e-mail with any questions in advance. We will then forward them to the course leader.

Our experienced midwives from the Diakoniekrankenhaus look forward to sharing their knowledge and experience with you. Together, we will prepare you for the exciting time of birth and parenthood. We look forward to your participation and an enriching exchange!

And another great addition to the course:

Bernd Schmidt, course leader of the fathers’ groups at the parent school, will meet with the partners for about two hours in a separate module on questions and changes around becoming parents. He will be present on 10.02.27.

Registration
Registration for the parent school courses is via the website of the Diakoniekrankenhaus. After successful registration you will receive a confirmation of registration by e-mail. If you do not receive this confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us (elternschule@diak-fr.de).
The confirmation e-mail also contains information on the time, the room and/or whether the course takes place online. If the course is already fully booked, registration is not possible.
After successful registration, the confirmation e-mail constitutes a firm commitment of your course place.

Registration conditions
When registering, please make sure the course suits your baby’s due date. This should be at least 3–4 weeks after the start of the course, or even later.

Withdrawal and cancellation policy
You may withdraw from the course free of charge up to 21 days before it begins, using the cancellation button in your confirmation e-mail.
Once the cancellation period has expired, the button is no longer active and free cancellation is no longer possible.
After that, payment for the course is mandatory and you will receive an invoice.

Cancellation of events
If the course is cancelled by the parent school of the Evang. Diakoniekrankenhaus for organisational reasons, the participation fee paid will be refunded in full.
If a course cannot take place due to an insufficient number of participants, we will inform you no later than two weeks before the course begins.
We reserve the right to cancel the course at short notice or to move it to an alternative date for other important reasons beyond our control (e.g. sudden illness of the instructor, force majeure). If the new date does not suit you, any participation fees you have already paid will be refunded.
