Content
The birth preparation weekend is a special opportunity for you and your partner to prepare together for the birth and your first weeks as parents.
We will cover topics relating to the last trimester of pregnancy, birth, the postnatal period, breastfeeding and your first time as a family, so that you are well prepared as you set off on your adventure of becoming parents. During the weekend we will also look at relaxation and massage techniques as well as relationship work, which are particularly important with regard to the birth and the time afterwards. There will also be room for shared discussion and for answering your questions.
The entire birth preparation course will take place together with partners.
The course takes place on Friday afternoon from 15:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday from 9:30 to 16:30.
Please choose a course that ends three to four weeks or more before your estimated due date.
Three weeks before the course begins, you will receive a personal e-mail from me with all the important details.

If you wish to cancel your place on the course, please be sure to observe the registration conditions you confirmed, which are as follows: you may withdraw from the course free of charge up to 21 days before it begins using the cancellation button in your confirmation e-mail. Once the cancellation period has expired, the button is no longer active and free cancellation is no longer possible.
After that, payment for the course is mandatory and an invoice will automatically be issued by the course leader.

Registration conditions
Registration
Registration for the parent school courses is via the website of the Diakoniekrankenhaus. After successful registration you will receive a confirmation of registration by e-mail. If you do not receive this confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us (elternschule@diak-fr.de).
The confirmation e-mail also contains information on the time, the room and/or whether the course takes place online. If the course is already fully booked, registration is not possible.
After successful registration, the confirmation e-mail constitutes a firm commitment of your course place.
Registration conditions
When registering, please make sure the course suits your baby’s due date. This should be at least 3–4 weeks after the start of the course, or even later.
Withdrawal and cancellation policy
You may withdraw from the course free of charge up to 21 days before it begins, using the cancellation button in your confirmation e-mail.
Once the cancellation period has expired, the button is no longer active and free cancellation is no longer possible.
After that, payment for the course is mandatory and you will receive an invoice.
Cancellation of events
If the course is cancelled by the parent school of the Evang. Diakoniekrankenhaus for organisational reasons, the participation fee paid will be refunded in full.
If a course cannot take place due to an insufficient number of participants, we will inform you no later than two weeks before the course begins.
We reserve the right to cancel the course at short notice or to move it to an alternative date for other important reasons beyond our control (e.g. sudden illness of the instructor, force majeure). If the new date does not suit you, any participation fees you have already paid will be refunded.
Fees
Partner fee: 144 euros
The fee for the pregnant woman is usually covered by your health insurance fund.
Many health insurance funds now also cover the partner fee in part or in full.
Please ask your health insurance fund.
