Dear course participants, this is a compact and intensive preparation for your forthcoming birth over one weekend, 12 hours in 1 ½ days. There will be enough time to get to know the methods that will support you during your birth. These include relaxation and breathing techniques, birthing positions and elements of hypnobirthing that enable you to shape your birth in a self-determined way. You will also learn about the physiological processes of birth. The topics of breastfeeding and the first period after the birth round off this course. Short breaks in between and, if desired, a shared lunch on Saturday will accompany these course days. The times are as follows: Friday from 15:00-20:00 for the women only – Saturday with your partner from 9:30-16:30. Many health insurance funds now also cover the partner fee in part or in full. Please ask your insurance fund. Three to four weeks before the course begins, you will receive a personal e-mail from us with all the important details. Please transfer the partner fee of 110€ in advance. Please choose a course that ends three to four weeks or more before your estimated due date. We will be happy to answer any questions. Registration conditions

Registration
Registration for the parent school courses is via the website of the Diakoniekrankenhaus. After successful registration you will receive a confirmation of registration by e-mail. If you do not receive this confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us (elternschule@diak-fr.de).
The confirmation e-mail also contains information on the time, the room and/or whether the course takes place online. If the course is already fully booked, registration is not possible.
After successful registration, the confirmation e-mail constitutes a firm commitment of your course place.

Registration conditions
When registering, please make sure the course suits your baby’s due date. This should be at least 3–4 weeks after the start of the course, or even later.

Withdrawal and cancellation policy
You may withdraw from the course free of charge up to 21 days before it begins, using the cancellation button in your confirmation e-mail.
Once the cancellation period has expired, the button is no longer active and free cancellation is no longer possible.
After that, payment for the course is mandatory and you will receive an invoice.

Cancellation of events
If the course is cancelled by the parent school of the Evang. Diakoniekrankenhaus for organisational reasons, the participation fee paid will be refunded in full.
If a course cannot take place due to an insufficient number of participants, we will inform you no later than two weeks before the course begins.
We reserve the right to cancel the course at short notice or to move it to an alternative date for other important reasons beyond our control (e.g. sudden illness of the instructor, force majeure). If the new date does not suit you, any participation fees you have already paid will be refunded.

Fees

Please pay the partner fee of €110 in cash on the first evening.

Many health insurance funds now also cover the partner fee in part or in full. Please check with your health insurance fund.
