Breastfeeding advice
Breastfeeding problems can arise before birth, after birth and during the breastfeeding period. Perhaps you are pregnant and do not know whether you want to or are able to breastfeed at all?
Women with gestational diabetes in particular can benefit from antenatal breastfeeding counselling.
Our qualified IBCLC breastfeeding and lactation consultants will help you in such situations.
Breastfeeding your child regularly, especially in the period immediately after birth, gives your child a good start in life!

For acute breastfeeding and breast problems you can reach us 24 hours a day on the breastfeeding hotline 0761 1301-2439.
If needed, you are also welcome to make an appointment for breastfeeding counselling at the midwife clinic, telephone: 0761 1301-2477
Breastfeeding counselling is free of charge for women who gave birth at the Diakoniekrankenhaus.
For women who gave birth elsewhere, breastfeeding counselling costs 60 euros.
