CHRONICLE study
In 2024, among other publications, we published the prospective, randomised, multicentre CHRONICLE study in the renowned journal Gastroenterology. The article is available free of charge 04935- 7/fulltext?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fpubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov%2F" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here.
The study addressed the question of which method is best for removing large colonic polyps during a colonoscopy. For this study, our Chief Physician PD Dr. Ingo Steinbrück received the renowned Meinhard Classen Prize of the German Society for Gastroenterology (DGVS) in 2024.
For further information on this study, we recommend the interesting episode of the DGVS podcast “Gastrogeplauder”, recorded by Prof. Dr. Thomas Rösch (Director of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Interdisciplinary Endoscopy at the Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf) with PD Dr. Steinbrück during the 2023 European gastroenterology congress in Copenhagen (https://www.dgvs.de/aus-dem-fach/klinik-praxis/gastro-geplauder/ or on Spotify). Here the study is discussed in detail and put into context.
